The winners of the 2010 Pier 1 Imports/UNICEF Greeting Card Contest are Kelsey Fosstveit from Mountainville, New York and Justas Varpucanskis from Mokena, Illinois. Kelsey is the grand prize winner, and Justas received the "Voter's Choice Award." Well done!
This spring UNICEF received thousands of entries from kids around the country who submitted their drawings to be selected as an official UNICEF greeting card for the holiday season. The greeting card with the winning design is sold at Pier 1 Imports stores nationwide. The winner of the grand prize also receives a $5,000 scholarship and $500 worth of art supplies for their school.
Additionally, 2010 marked the second annual "Voter’s Choice Award," in which visitors to the Pier 1 website could vote on their favorite design from April 1 to April 15. The "Voter's Choice" winner receives $500 worth of art supplies.
