Haiti: UNICEF Responds
On behalf of the children of Haiti, UNICEF child protection expert Nadine Perrault shares a thank you in a video interview to the volunteers and supporters of the US Fund for UNICEF.
On January 12, 2010, Haiti was rocked by an earthquake that registered over 7.0 on the Richter scale. It was the most powerful quake to strike the country in nearly 200 years and it resulted in destruction on an unimaginable scale. The epicenter of the quake was just ten miles from the densely populated city of Port-au-Prince.
This page is designed to provide educators and parents with resources related to Haiti and the recent earthquake. We will be updating this page regularly. We have also created a discussion thread on our TeachUNICEF Facebook group page where educators and parents can provide best practices and add to a working list of resources.
