Can I or my school/group earmark our Trick-or-Treat for UNICEF donations for a specific person, project or country?
UNICEF supports broad-based programs and projects in over 150 countries and territories worldwide, reaching millions of children each year. UNICEF is effective because it works on a variety of levels: from the highest levels of government by helping to shape national agendas for children, down to the field by supporting program implementation. Unfortunately, because of UNICEF's broad work and structure, it is impossible to fund a specific person, project or school.
We encourage all those participating in the Trick-or-Treat for UNICEF program to donate to our general fund so that the money will go directly to the children who need it most. However, you or your school/group can earmark donations to go to a specific country or one of our core program areas: education, emergencies, HIV/AIDS, immunization or malnutrition. Simply include a letter with your or your school/group's donation clearly stating where you would like your money to go. We try to accommodate the wishes of our donors. To ensure contributions are used most efficiently, we may not be able to honor your or your school/group's designated donation. In that case, we encourage you to allow us to use it where kids need it the most.
Send your Coinstar® receipt(s) and any checks/money orders with your name, address, and school/group (if applicable) using a gift transmittal form to the address below, and the U.S. Fund for UNICEF will mail an official acknowledgment of the gift(s).
