What is The Eliminate Project?
The Eliminate Project is Kiwanis International’s global campaign for children that will eliminate maternal and neonatal tetanus in partnership with UNICEF and others. This swift, painful disease takes the life of a newborn every 9 minutes, yet it is highly preventable. Over 100 million women of childbearing age need to be vaccinated to protect them and their newborns from this disease. An average of $1.80 will provide 3 doses of vaccine and other activities needed to protect a mother and her future newborns.
